Known also as the ‘Business Border’, this little beauty punches above its weight. 

Taking our handsewn, single layer Border design with its row of contrasting handsewing all around the edge, on this range we have simply added an extra row of stitches inside the original. The result is quite eye-catchingly stunning; a beautiful detail that, when combined with the same contrasting edge colour, really sets it apart from our other belts.

Leather: Sedgwick’s First Grade English bridle butt, approx 3.5-4mm thick (average across the skin) shown here in Black. Please select your desired leather colour from the full range of options available.

Buckle: 1⅛ inch wide, brass with stainless steel tongue ‘West End’ 

Detail: A lovely yellow edge and bright yellow linen thread give a striking contrast to the black leather. Linen thread is another natural material and comes with its own charming characteristics; the thread is naturally prone to changes in thickness along its length and, as it is less hard wearing than oil based alternatives, a larger number of shorter lengths must be used during the decorative stitching process. This means you will be able to find more thread changes on decorative linen hand sewing than in the same work using a polyester thread. Linen will wear after a number of years' good service, however, The Belt Makers are happy to help with future TBM belt maintenance.
