A Raised belt could be considered the epitome. It enhances the lustre of the Sedgwick leather from just about any angle, yet it can still be worn in that understated way that oozes quality and good judgement.

The Raise consists of a Sedgwick top layer with a beautifully subtle, raised centre section and a Sedgwick lining. The making of one of these stunning pieces represents hours and hours of work by a National award-winning craftsman. Raised belts contain typically around 800 stitches, every one of them worked by hand.

Handmade Real First Grade English Leather Belt                                           

Entirely made by hand in the workshop of a National award-winning craftsman. The hand stitched border represents several hours of work.

Leather: Three layers of Sedgwick’s First Grade English bridle butt, approx 3.5-4mm thick (average across the skin) will be thinned and handstitched together.

Buckle: 1 1/2 inch (38mm) wide stainless steel ‘West End’

Belt sizes: From 30 inches to 70 inches (for 50 inches and over please +£70)

Belt shown: Light Havana top and bottom leather with a green edge and green hand stitching.

Obtained from the supplier with the Royal Warrant, the Sedgwick leather used in this belt is world renowned for its strength, durability, density and lustre. As the belt is worn in, in a similar way to wearing in good leather boots and shoes, the leather will react to the natural oils in your hands and to your body heat, becoming more supple over time. Subsequently, as it moulds beautifully to your shape and it develops its unique natural patina, it will result in a wonderfully personal leather accessory, thus making it a firm favourite for years to come. 

Leather is, of course, a natural material so a little slight marking and colour variation are expected. No two belts will be the same.

Take care when wearing with light coloured items as, in the way of all coloured leather products, some colour transfer may occur especially in hot or damp conditions.
